See it, find it, reach it...

Here are a few easy steps to reorganize your closet:
[1] Go through your closet item by item. Ask yourself:
--when's the last time I wore this?
--does it fit?
--if I saw this in a store for the first time right now, would I buy it?
--any bad memories associated with it?
[2] Put the current season's clothes in primary closet space. You need to be able to see it, find it, and reach it!
[3] Categorize your clothes by type and color:
--dark to light colors
--frequently worn items should be the most accessible
[4] Have a full-length mirror nearby.
Make quick judgments on what should stay and what should go.
[5] If you decide to box some items, be sure to label them for easy access later.
[6] Invest in good quality hangers!
[7] Button/zip/fasten for neat storage.
[8] If you have any drawers in your closet, organize them in the order you get dressed:
--store underwear/socks in upper drawers
--put frequently used items in the front of the drawer
--customize the drawers with dividers to maximize storage and to keep your drawers decluttered!
[9] Reevaluate your wardrobe every season.
