Worried about Coronavirus?

Disinfect and clean to help prevent the spread of germs

Safety tips to help stop the spread of germs:

Clean hands with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer gel

Wash your hands often with hand soap and water for at least 20 seconds or clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains 60-95% alcohol, covering all surfaces of your hands and rubbing them together until they feel dry. Soap and water should be used first if hands are visibly dirty. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

Avoid sharing personal household items

Do not share dishes, drinking glasses, cups, eating utensils, or towels with people or pets in your home. After using these items, they should be washed thoroughly with soap and water. Use disposable cups, plates, cutlery, and napkins and throw away after each use.

Clean all frequently touched surfaces daily

Clean your counters, tabletops, doorknobs, bathroom fixtures (sinks, drawer handles, etc.), toilets, cell phones, keyboards, tablets, and bedside tables. Clean any surfaces that have come into contact with blood, stool, or bodily fluids. Use disinfectant cleaning spray or wipes according to their label instructions and take precautions as instructed, including wearing disposable gloves and having good ventilation during use of the cleaning products.

Cover your coughs and sneezes

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw used tissues in a lined trash can. Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with 60-96% alcohol, making sure to cover all surfaces of your hands and rubbing them together until they feel dry. Washing hands with soap and water should be used preferentially if hands are visibly dirty.

Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms

Thoroughly cook meat and eggs

Avoid unprotected contact with live animals
